The McCusker Centre for Citizenship at UWA is a unique Centre that aims to inspire students and the Western Australian community to become active citizens in our local, regional and global communities through its internship program, academic units and events. The McCusker Centre for Citizenship partners with over 250 not-for-profit, community and government organisations to host UWA student interns. 

Zonta House Refuge Association Inc. provide refuge and accommodation, holistic support services and education to women who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing family and domestic violence, homelessness and other life crises.

Angie Perkins is the Service Delivery Manager at Zonta House Refuge Association Inc. Angie has been working in the community service industry for 15 years and has worked in a variety of roles in the not-for-profit and Government sector. Angie has worked in areas focusing on drug and alcohol, pharmacotherapy , homelessness, mental health and domestic and family violence. Angie has comprehensive community service and social welfare qualifications and has a passion for women’s and children’s welfare and rights.
